Ingredients for Jaggery chocolate cake recipe
- All purpose flour – 1 cup
- Chocolate / cocoa powder – 1/4 cup
- Chocolate sauce – 1 tsp
- Baking powder – 1/2 tsp
- Baking soda – 1/4 ts
- Salt – 1 pinch
- Egg – 2
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Lemon – 1/2
- Jaggery powder – 1 cup
- Milk- 1/4 cup or As per requirement
- Olive oil or Ghee or Butter – 1/4 cup
- Fennel and cardamon powder – 1/4 tsp ( Optional )
How to make Jaggery Chocolate cake
Sieve and mix all the dry ingredients, that is, all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, fennel and cardamon powder , baking soda and salt. Sieve it multiple times to make the cake light and less dense.
Whisk together eggs, powdered jaggery, vanilla essence, chocolate sauce , lemon , and oil.
Add dry ingredients and milk alternately in the wet mixture and beat well. For each beat, start and end by adding dry ingredients.
Preheat the oven to 180 degree centigrade.
Grease a cake tin and pour the batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool completely.
